Click & Go Redirection Script
This script uses a pull-down select box to allow users to select a page/site and then click a 'GO' button to visit it. Below is what one would look like:

Cron Jobs
Cron is the ability to run programs based on the system clock. We allow up to one operation per day.

Custom "404:File Not Found" Error Page
This is the page that is displayed when someone tries to access a page on your domain that does not exist. This page is fully customizable.

Disk Space (Web Space)
Disk space is the amount of space you are allowed on the server. We give you a very generous amount of space and designate 5,000 files for each 100 megs of space allotted to your account.

E-Mail Alias
The network has been designed using the trademarked Power PlusMail System to automatically capture any name that may be sent to your domain name. As long as you do not remove or modify the default line in your .redirect file, anything sent to @yourname.com will automatically be forwarded to your POP+Telnet account (yourdomain@yourdomain.com).

E-Mail Redirects (Forwarding)
You can have e-mail automatically forwarded to other e-mail addresses.

Error Logs (on qualifying accounts)
Error logs will list the errors that occur with a cgi script. The log is located in the home directory of your domain. This is useful for script installation and development.

File Transfer Protocol (FTP)
FTP is how you upload and download your Web pages, graphics, etc. from/to your computer to/from your virtual hosting site. You have unlimited FTP access 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, to set up and maintain your Web site.

Formmail and Cgiemail Forms
These are on-line forms that allow you to collect data from a visitor to the site. Once the visitor has submitted the form, the server will forward the data to an e-mail address specified by you.

Free-for-All Links Page
This script allows you to set up a page that visitors can add links to in specific categories. Newest links are added to the top of each category. A running total of the number of links present as well as the time when the last link was added is shown at the top of the page.

Graphical Page Counters
Counters record the number of hits to your site. A graphical counter displays this information graphically. People's Ware provides two types of graphical counters—one is a simple counter while the other includes various stats such as time and date of the visit and domains from which your visitor came.

Guestbooks (VisitorBook Pro)
VisitorBook Pro lets you set up as many individual guestbooks as you want! The Master Admin Program lets you (the administrator) easily add, modify, or delete VisitorBooks from your system. Administrator Options: Create New VisitorBooks, Set password for each VisitorBook, Edit VisitorBooks, Delete VisitorBooks.

Microsoft FrontPage 2002
FrontPage 2002 (also compatible with FrontPage 2000/98) extensions can be installed on your account at no additional charge. This allows you to create and maintain your Web site with the easy-to-use Microsoft FrontPage program. Microsoft provides direct support for all FrontPage users.

Miva Merchant v4.0 (E-Commerce Plans)
Miva Merchant is a browser-based Storefront and Catalog development tool that integrates cataloging, product maintenance, category management, shopping basket, order and credit card processing. Park Additional Domains (add-on feature)
Parking additional domains is having several virtual domains point to the same IP address. There is a one-time setup fee for each parked domain. Many companies do this to protect their name. Keep in mind that the InterNIC fees will apply.

Password-Protected Directories
When visitors try to access a password-protected page, they are prompted for a username and password. They cannot view this page unless they have a valid username and password.

Perl Scripts
Perl was originally designed as an interpreter to help UNIX users with common tasks. However, with the explosive growth of the Internet it has been adapted to be an excellent interface to the Web. Refer to our Tips & Tutorials section for more information.

PHP
PHP is a third-party scripting engine. We do not provide technical support for this. We have added it for users that are already familiar with it. To use PHP on your domain, your files need to end with .php3 rather than .html. For additional information on PHP, please visit their web site at http://www.php.net.

POP3 E-mail AccountsPOP stands for "Post Office Protocol" and is the method that e-mail programs, such as Eudora, Netscape Mail, Microsoft Exchange, etc., use to retrieve e-mail. Each POP account has its own unique log-in and password. Multiple POP accounts work well if you need e-mail addresses for several people within your organization.

Postcards Script
This is a ready-to-run script with several pictures and sound files. Visitors to your site will be able to mail their friends costcards.

Power PlusMail™ System
Our Plusmail Webcontrol allows you to monitor your disk space usage, view your site stats (visitor traffic), view error logs, manage your site (create and delete directories, upload files, create, edit, delete, and rename files, set file/directory permissions, and password-protect directories), create POP e-mail accounts and e-mail redirects, setup mailing lists (including subscribable), create autoresponders, install preconfigured scripts and change passwords.

This script allows you to create up to 25 multiple choice questions from your browser that your visitors can take and lets them know how they did.

RealAudio / RealVideo G2 Version 8.0
Progressive Networks' RealAudio and RealVideo system is a client-server-based streaming media delivery system for the Internet. Providers of news, entertainment, sports, and business content can create and deliver audio-based streaming multimedia content through the Internet to audiences worldwide.

Referrer Logs (on qualifying accounts)
This is an extended logging feature that will document where each visitor came from. You will know if they found you from a search engine, another Web site, link, etc. This is invaluable information when planning your site's marketing.

Secure Shell Access (SSH)
Quoted directly from ssh.org, "SSH Secure Shell is the standard for remote logins and file transfer over the Internet. It encrypts all traffic, and provides a high level of protection against hacker attacks. Main features of Secure Shell include secure remote logins, terminal emulation, fully integrated secure file transfers, secure tunneling of X11 traffic, and secure access to e-mail over the Internet." For a free Win32 client, consider PenguiNet or PuTTY. And for the Mac, consider NiftyTelnet.

SSL Secure Server Access
A secure server allows users to collect data such as credit card information in a secure environment. Our secure server is run by Apache-SSL. Information submitted via a secure form is sent to the server in an encrypted mode.

Secure Server Order Forms
Normally, any text sent from your browser to the Web server is sent as plain text. This means that a hacker could potentially intercept the information. By using the secure server, you encrypt the information before it is sent. It would be practically impossible for anyone to decrypt it without knowing the key.

Server-Side Imagemaps
An imagemap is a graphical set of links—different parts of an image will link the visitor to other pages on your Web site.

Server-Side Includes (SSI) 
SSI, or Server-Side Includes, allows the server to parse special page commands. For example, if you want a footer on all your pages which may change from time to time, you can create a text file with the desired footer information and place it in your domain. On the pages where the footer is to appear, you add a "simple include" to read that file and place it at the bottom of the desired pages.

SFE Page Search
This is a full-featured search script that performs searches based on a prior index made of all the pages in the site. The script is very lightweight resource-wise and very fast at returning results and works with boolean logic.

Subscribable Mail lists
With a maillist, you can offer your clients a monthly newsletter, sales updates, or just a friendly hello. Your clients can easily subscribe to your list via e-mail. The PlusMail System is capable of multiple lists, so you can organize the information your customers may be looking for. There is a limit of 1,000 subscribers per list, and you can e-mail a message up to 75k.

Tcl
Tcl (Tool Command Language) is two things: a scripting language and an interpreter for the language which is designed to be easy to embed into other applications. As a language, it is much like UNIX shell languages. There is very little syntax, and it is easy to learn. It is used to glue together building blocks built in system programming languages like C, C++, and Java. These building blocks appear as commands, or verbs, in the script language. Telnet
Telnet is a very powerful tool for logging directly into a server to perform advanced (and some basic) features like compiling a program, archiving files, etc. Most likely, if you don't know what Telnet is, you don't need it. Most Telnet features (like CHMOD, which is used to change file permissions) can be done through FTP.

Text-Based Page Counter
This is the simplest kind of page counter. It uses SSI. You can select the text and size attributes.

Traffic Allowance
Your total traffic allowance includes www and ftp usage. You can determine your traffic usage by examining the daily totals displayed on your site statistics program (wusage). Our systems monitor and forcast the traffic usage for each account. If it appears that your account will exceed your traffic allowance, we will send you an e-mail with the forcasted amount of over-usage. You'll have the opportunity to increase your traffic allowance as needed, according to the price schedule provided in our Policies and Guidelines.

True Domain
With this type of account, you use a domain name of your choice (yourname.com). This domain is assigned its own Internet Protocol (IP) address and is not aliased of another IP.

TrueSpeech Streaming Audio
TrueSpeech is a high quality speech compression which compresses speech down to as much as 1/40th its original size. Since regular speech files are normally large, compression using TrueSpeech enables them to be transferred faster and more easily. Support for TrueSpeech real-time audio is available for use in your Web pages.

Vote / Survey Script
This script offers the ability to add a vote or survey to an existing page with a graphical display of the results.

Wireless Application Protocol (WAP)
Wireless Application Protocol (WAP) and Wireless Markup Language (WML). These emerging standards enable the delivery of content to wireless devices such as personal digital assistants (PDAs), mobile phones, pagers and other wireless terminals. The protocol was developed by the WAP Forum. 

WML is the WAP equivalent to HTML (HyperText Markup Language). Pages written in WML can be read by a WAP phone or similar device. Since WML is actually an application of XML (eXtensible Markup Language), the syntax is similar. If you have some experience with HTML, you should be able to learn WML easily, as many of the tags are the same.

Web Control Panel
For your ease and convenience, we include as a standard feature a Web-Based Control Panel, which allows you to manage from anywhere in the world where you have Internet access all of your POP, FTP and Telnet (Secure Shell) accounts. You can also manage all of your e-mail redirects, autoresponders, maillists and subscribable maillists;  password-protect directories; change file and directory permissions; edit your web site and use basic Unix commands right from your web browser. The Web Control Panel will also display your monthly traffic usage and site statistics.

Whois Script
This script checks Top Level Domains (TLDs) with the following extensions:
.COM, .ORG, .NET, .EDU, .GOV, .MIL, .CA, .UK, .MX, .FR, .DK, .DE, .CH, .BE, .AT, .AU, .CZ
You can search the Whois Database by domain name (with any of the extensions above), NIC Handle, host IP, or Individual's Name.

Wusage Site Stats
This is a very powerful tool for keeping track of and monitoring visitors to your site. It will tell you how long they were there, what pages they visited, and the order in which the pages were visited. With advanced logging activated, it will even tell where they came from and what browser was being used. This is invaluable information when planning your site's marketing.
